Welcome to Meeting of the Minds TALKS (MOTMT.A.L.K.S), a change platform for Transformation, Advocacy, Leadership, Knowledge, and Strategy. Our goal is to generate meaningful opportunities for People of African Ancestry in Canada to dialogue, collaborate and unify on priorities across our provinces and territories that are important to us. We believe in “crossing the river together” in order to build and bridge capacity so that outcomes for African Canadians are impactful and sustainable. We have led and will continue to engage in courageous conversations that support our knowledge learning from understanding our traditions and exploring how to embrace them in our contemporary context.

MOTMT.A.L.K.S. is collective wisdom shared in dialogue, it is both iterative and constant, and seeks to engage people who are committed to strategic conversations that nourish actions that influence policy and the development of policy and research frameworks.

MOTMT.A.L.K.S. bears witness to our collective and individual experiences and is for us, by us and about us.

Our success is centred around a common understanding that overcoming the barriers we face, can only be achieved and sustained in partnership and collaboration with each other.
